Trim Levels
When you stop by McFarland Kia, you can see the five available trim levels of the new Kia Forte.
Kia Forte LX
The entry-level LX is available in three exterior colors with black cloth seats. This model includes a continuously variable transmission. Standard driver assistance features include lane keeping assist and lane following assistance.
Kia Forte LXS
The next trim level is the LXS sedan. With this sedan, you get the added flexibility of 60/40 split-rear seats. The exterior adds 16-inch alloy wheels, while the interior includes soft-touch door trim.
Kia Forte GT-Line
On the mid-range GT-Line, you get an expanded range of exterior color options. The interior includes black Syntex seats with gray stitching. Blind-spot collision-avoidance assistance and rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist are standard. This trim level consists of a navigation system.
Kia Forte GT
The Kia Forte GT features a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. In the cabin, you'll find Syntex's interior with red stitching. Paddle shifters give you more control over your driving experience.
Kia Forte GT Manual
The highest trim level is the GT Manual. As the name suggests, this trim level has a six-speed manual transmission. Portsmouth shoppers will enjoy more driver assistance features, such as Blind-Spot Collision Warning and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning.
Interior and Exterior
Inside the spacious cabin, you'll find five seats. Lower trim levels feature black cloth seats. Starting with the GT-Line, you can choose between Syntex seating surfaces or a combination of cloth and Syntex. The GT model adds special touches, like an illuminated GT logo on the dashboard. Newmarket shoppers will enjoy a comfortable leather-wrapped sports steering wheel.
Kia offers the Forte in many exterior colors. Choose from Gravity Gray, Deep Sea Blue, and Currant Red colors. The LXS or GT-Line trims are also available in Fire Orange. Exterior features include standard power-adjustable side mirrors. The GT-Line and higher trim levels add heated power side mirrors with LED turn signals.
Performance
The LX, LXS, and GT-Line trims feature a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque. Kia pairs these models with an intelligent, continuously variable transmission. If you choose the GT or the GT Manual, you'll get a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine that produces 201 horsepower. The GT model includes an automatic transmission, while the GT Manual receives a six-speed manual transmission.
Technology
The LX and LXS trims include an eight-inch touchscreen display. Higher trim levels get an upgraded 10.25-inch touchscreen display with navigation. You'll also get a four or six-speaker stereo system. The GT Manual features a premium Harman Kardon stereo. You'll enjoy driving around North Hampton while listening to your favorite songs through Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
